In East Germany, Vermona was a household name for high-quality electronic musical instruments. As part of VEB Klingenthaler Harmonikawerke, one of the largest musical instrument manufacturers in East Germany, Vermona produced a range of synthesizers, effects units, and other electronic instruments, distinguished by their robust construction and characteristic sound.

Vermona instruments: More than just GDR products

During the GDR era, Vermona instruments were particularly popular with professional musicians and in studios. Their sound quality and versatility made them serious competitors to Western products. By utilizing the extensive product catalog of Vermona—the legendary brand produced by the VEB Klingenthaler Harmonikawerke in the German Democratic Republic (GDR)—it is possible to build a unique, fully functional recording environment using only a single brand.

Because Vermona manufactured virtually everything a music group needed, our studio has curated a vast ecosystem of these historical machines. This allows us to provide a production environment comprised entirely of DDR-era Vermona gear, capable of tracking and producing complete albums from scratch.
